According to him (Adamu) the programme when launched, would be cascaded to all states, rural communities, schools and markets across the country.

He also explained that the responsibility of the states and local government authorities to provide domestic water supply to their communities was also very important, while the role of the federal government would intervention in order to achieve set targets of the SDGs.

However, the Minister promised the Governor that Ebony State would be given assistance on the state water projects as this would not only provide food for the people but also create job opportunities for them.

In his response, Governor Umahi expressed appreciation and promised that his state would contribute its quota to ensure that the collaboration in scaling up access to water and ending open defecation succeeds.
