The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has said plans have been concluded to hold a summit on national rebirth, values and ethics alongside a national reorientation campaign.
Mohammed, who made this known in Abuja when he welcomed the Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, led by its Chairman, Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, on a courtesy visit to his office, also said that contrary to the impression in many quarters, the executive and legislative arms of government were working together to improve the socio-economic welfare of Nigerians.
He said the obligation of the current administration was to ensure good governance, provide adequate security and restore the depreciating economy to deliver the change Nigerians yearn for.
He said: “If the spokesman of the Senate wants to meet the spokesman of government, it says a lot about the trust, understanding and also the confidence between the two arms of government.”
