Osimhen scored in the 22nd minute of an entertaining and goal-filled tie at Stadio Lupo as Wolfsburg ran out 6-2 winners over Regionalliga side USI Lupo Martini.
Allofs was impressed with the Nigerian’s goal and overall performance, and he took the time to offer words of adulation for the former Golden Eaglets man.
“Victor is fast but he brings more qualities with him. He reads the game well and knows how to start,” Allofs told the club’s official website, www.vfl-wolfsburg.de.
Osimhen who finished as top scorer at the 2015 Fifa Under-17 World Cup had previously never scored for the German club since he signed a pre-contract in January.
His goal left him thrilled and he subsequently took to social media to voice his sentiments.
“Thank you Lord. Happy to play in the charity game and also get a goal...still anticipating for the bigger stage,” he wrote on his Instagram account.
Osimhen will officially sign a formal contract at Wolfsburg on 29 December when he turns 18
