Sergio Aguero has given an insight into Pep Guardiola's “picky” demands since taking over the reins at Manchester City in the summer.
Aguero has made a remarkable start to life under Guardiola, scoring eight goals in all competitions so far this term.
And the striker has praised Guardiola's attention to detail and opened up on how he is getting more used to what the Catalan wants from him in terms of pressing.
“He [Guardiola] wants me right as a nine, but then he gives me more freedom too. He asks me to move all around the attack,” he told Ole.
“On the other hand, Tata (Martino, ex-Argentina boss) wanted me between the two defenders, to create more space for Leo (Messi), Fideo (Di Maria) or Pastore or Banega. Pep is different.
"Pep is very picky about everything. It's good. The good thing is that I'm getting used to him and automatically going straight in to pressing the centre-backs.
“On the other hand, here at the national team I did it against Peru, and I realised I left the midfield unprotected. I’m used to do it but it in this case it’s Pipa (Gonzalo Higuain) who should do it. Sometimes on the pitch I run, press and forget it.”
Aguero has also confirmed he is fit and ready to feature in Argentina's World Cup qualifier against Paraguay on Tuesday if called upon.
“I'm quite well now, you get physical fitness playing, not training,” he added.
"[Argentina coach Edgardo] Bauza has the decision – I'll be available for Tuesday.
"I'm much better. After the Peru game I had two days to make the recovery and I did a little bit of football today. I'm quite well."
