Dr. Pedro Obaseki, has chosen Accord as the political party on which he would contest the governorship election, adding that it was high time God was put in government of Edo state.
He made this decision known in a town hall meeting between the executives of the party in the state and party members.
According to him “Why I am here is very simple I have come to ask the Accord Party to give me their mandate and to tell Accord the days of the years in the wilderness are over.”
Dr. Obaseki disclosed that he plans to galvanize the youths of the state because he believes the future of Edo State is in their hands, adding that they had to believe in their hearts that it is possible.
“So I want you to know that I am ready because I am younger than most of them, I am as educated and a little more educated than all of them, I have been a lecturer at the University of Benin since the age of 21 and I know within myself and I know within myself that when the time is come we shall change the state.”
“We shall educate our children, take care of our women, only a fool messes up with a woman, when the women are doing well the state would go forward, change double taxes, so I want to bring hope to this state because a good leader must be a pillar in home.”
