Iheanacho fit to face West Ham

Kelechi Iheanacho has been given the all clear to play for Manchester City in Sunday’s English Premier League game against West Ham United.

The striker pulled up as he chased down a loose ball on Wednesday in Manchester City’s Uefa Champions League game against Romanian club, Steaua Bucharest.

He was promptly replaced by Brazilian midfielder, Fernandinho but the City manager, Pep Guardiola has revealed that the injury suffered by the Nigerian is not as bad as first feared.

“We have no injury concerns. In the end, (Kelechi’s) reaction (on Wednesday night after he pulled up) was almost nothing.

“I was more scared about his reaction than the actual injury.

“Everybody is fit. We trained with 30 players (on Friday),” Guardiola said in his press conference on Friday.

Iheanacho has yet to score in three City appearances in all competitions this season.
